The Original Slinky Walking Spring Toy
--Slinky has been the go-to brand for the classic wiggly-jiggly toy that both children and adults have loved for 80 years. This metal spring toy can walk downstairs alone or in pairs while making a slink-ity sound.
The toy was invented in 1943 by a mechanical engineer named Richard James who accidentally dropped a spring on the floor and watched it move.
Two years later, during Christmas, he introduced the walking spring toy in the Gimbels Department Store where it immediately sold out. Since then, over 300 million Slinkys have been sold worldwide.
In 2000, Slinky was inducted into the National Toy Hall of Fame. Even after 80 years, Slinky remains a favorite toy of children and adults globally.
It can be given as a gift, a stocking stuffer, a prize, or a present for anyone who loves a Slinky!
