FREEBIE FUN: Family Fun and Learning from Land Trusts

Families looking for fun and free outdoor activities (while social distancing) this summer have a new resource to explore!

The Land Trust Alliance, a national land conservation organization, has compiled an extensive list of no-cost, enjoy-from-anywhere diversions for kids of all ages.

Including everything from scavenger hunts to art activities to virtual hikes, this list includes something for everyone.

And because many of these activities require no prep time and minimal supervision, they are the perfect response to the restless child's I'm bored declaration.

Each activity is hosted by or available through one of the Land Trust Alliance's 1,000 member organizations.

Called land trusts, these community-based nonprofits acquire and manage land for the public good.
