Battle of Gettysburg Anniversary (1863)
-- The Battle of Gettysburg was fought July 1–3, 1863, in and around the town of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, by Union and Confederate forces during the American Civil War. This battle involved the largest number of casualties of the entire war and is often described as the war's turning point. Union Maj. Gen. George Meade's Army of the Potomac defeated attacks by Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee's Army of Northern Virginia, halting Lee's invasion of the North.
Read: Gettysburg: The Story of the Battle with Maps
-- 70 color maps and insightful text tell the hour-by-hour story of the 3-day Battle of Gettysburg. Each map shows the same 3 1/2-by-4 1/2-mile view of the battlefield, allowing the reader to visualize the battle as it developed over the entire area, including key engagements, troop movements and positions, and locations of commanders. Sheds new light on important events such as the first clash west of town on July 1, the fighting for Cemetery Hill, the defense of Little Round Top, Pickett's Charge, and more. An ideal introduction for newcomers while the unique approach offers fresh perspectives for those who've read every book on the battle. A perfect companion for battlefield visits and armchair-general debates.
Guns of Gettysburg Board Game
-- This new game invites players to step into the most decisive battle of the American Civil War. Will the Union be able to hold their ground, or will General Ewell have the courage to push Confederate troops up Cemetery Hill to secure victory? The Guns of Gettysburg allows players to test their courage and skill against their historical counterparts. Includes a free paper map from the Civil War Trust! Printed on high-quality paper and features the regular map on one side, and present-day Gettysburg on the other side. The present-day side is also completely playable and it shows the land being saved by the Civil War Trust as well as the lands being lost to development.
Union Army Wool Hat
-- The Kepi cap, of the union army, is a great alternative to a cowboy hat. This style civil war hat is the most commonly seen and was wore by soldiers and cowboys for a long time even after the civil war was over. This replica civil war cap is made of wool and has a very authentic look. Great for reenactments, collectors, and Civil War enthusiasts.
