I first discovered freebies and coupons
as a young mum, and now that I have the entire internet to search - my new husband is amazed at how much free stuff I have got and how much we have saved! I started searching for free samples to help us cut costs, and before you know it, it had become a blog!I had found so many free samples, I just had to share them with my friends. I check out every free sample site, order whatever I can get shipped to Canada, and try to remember to post a picture when the samples arrive. No scams, no long surveys, just free stuff!
It's a lot harder to find good freebies in Canada though, I am amazed at how many US freebies I can find in comparison to Canadian freebies. I find I get more free product coupons here in Canada than I get free product samples in the mail.But the last five shopping trips totaled a savings of $225 with coupons - even though Canadian stores don't offer 2x, 3x coupons - so it is certainly worth searching them out!
In the recent past we went to the movies for free, ate at A+W and Harvey's for free and my husband got his morning coffee for free at McDonald's.
We've gotten 6 cases of Pepsi for free, 15 bottles of Ocean Spray Cranberry Cocktail Juice for free, and have saved over 600 in coupons!
On Canada Day, we all ate for free at the Mandarin All-You-Can-Eat Buffet.

Here's another fun team challenge to help you earn SB from Swagbucks!
For those of you who don't know what Swagbucks is, it's a website where you can earn cash back on everyday tasks you do online like shopping, answering surveys, discovering deals, and watching videos. You can even earn for searching the web!
If you've never tried Swagbucks before because you didn't know where to begin, their Team Challenges are a great way to learn the ropes!
They have one themed around Valentine's day - the Chocolate Dipped Team Challenge begins Monday, February 13th.
Here's how you can join the challenge and the site:
1. Click here to join the challenge and be assigned to a team. Pre-registration is going on right now! If you don't already have an account, you can sign up on this page as well.
2. Starting February 13th at 8am PT, in addition to earning SB you'll contribute points to your teams total as you complete different activities on Swagbucks.
3. Check back on the page often to see the scores and what you've contribute so far.
All members who participate and contribute at least 400 points to their team’s total will receive a SB bonus in the form of a SB Swag Up Rebate on their next gift card!

Every now and then they have "Collector's Bills" worth bonus SB points that you can collect by simply searching the web.
Collect them all, and you get an SB Bonus! Once you've collected enough SB, you can redeem them for gift cards to stores like Walmart, Target, and many more!
Here's all the information for this week's Valentine's Day Collector's Bills:
Search the web through the Swagbucks search starting Monday, February 6th through Friday, February 10th, and when you get a search win, you may get a special Collector’s Bill valued at either:

Swagbucks is hosting another round of Shopping Swago!;
What is SWAGO you ask? It's a bingo-inspired promotion run by Swagbucks, a website that rewards you with points (called SB) for completing everyday online activities.
You can redeem those SB for free gift cards. If you've never used Swagbucks, participating in SWAGO is a great introduction to the site and an easy way to earn a good amount of points quickly.
With Valentine's Day around the corner, why not do your gift shopping online and earn cash back while you're at it?
Here’s what you need to know to get your 200 SB ($2) Bonus (and don’t worry, you don’t have to make a purchase to complete a pattern):
• Shop Swago will begin on Monday, February 6th at 9am PDT/12pm EDT, make sure you hit "Join" otherwise you won’t get credit for completing the action items. Each square on your Swago Board will contain an action item to complete.
• Once you complete the action item in a particular square the square will change color signifying the action item is complete.
• You have a limited amount of time to mark off as many squares as possible so use your time wisely.
• Be mindful of the patterns and their corresponding bonuses located on the right of your Swago Board. The patterns will vary in difficulty and bonus value.
• Once you’ve achieved a pattern the corresponding "Submit" button will light up. You can have multiple patterns available for submission, however, you can only submit ONE pattern so choose wisely.
• The game ends Thursday, February 9th at 12pm PDT/3pm EDT. So make sure to hit "Submit" on the pattern you wish to submit. If you don’t hit "Submit" before the game ends you won’t receive your SB bonus.
