Do you have a
Bob the Builder Fan in your house? Then he or she might love this
sandbox
idea!
This is a great idea for rainy, or yucky snowy days - or even
way too hot to be outdoors
days.
Unless you have a free source of rocks
(we got 4 bins worth for free on Freecycle!) check out your local Dollar store for this one - it may cost you about $5.00 for five
mini bags of rocks to fill your storage bin - depending on the size.
Check under your bed for a plastic storage bin, but if not, buy a
large under-the-bed type storage bin while you are there. Of course, you can use any size storage bin, but I like the under-the-bed type for this project because the sides are low and the length is long - so lots of playing room!
Any die-hard
Bob the Builder Fan will have plenty of
little construction vehicles on hand! If not, I am sure you can find some little trucks at the Dollar store or your local dept store!
Your little ones will have a fabulous time shoveling, loading, and unloading in their mini gravel quarry.
Who is going to try this one??
Credit for this idea goes to Pink and Green Mama MaryLea on her post:
Under Construction - Hard Hat Area!
From our Facebook fan page:
Cathy Smith posted: Also works with dried beans.
Roberta Dias posted: Great Idea, have a great-grandson who loves his little cars!
Vanessa Paddison posted: I will probably try it out.....
Amanda Ward Nagle posted: My mother-in-law uses dried beans.
NOTE - If any of the above links are not working or the freebies or coupons no longer available, please post a blog comment below and I'll edit it!
