Frugal Tip: Ketchup Packets as Ice Packs

Catherine McDiarmid-Watt | Monday, July 09, 2012 | 0 comments

I need a ketchup - ice pack
Freeze those single-use ketchup packets, and use them as little kid-sized ice packs.

They are the perfect size for kid bumps and bruises and the packets stay soft so they can conform to any body part.

From our Facebook fan page:
Annamarie Dodge posted: it's a good idea, but you can go to the Dollar Tree and get a reusable cool pack in shapes for boys or girls and they are much bigger and they are in shapes that the kids love...my son has a Hot Wheels car.

Robin Elliott Goering posted: I have been doing this for years...never had a mess with them and the kids think it is neat putting frozen ketchup on their boo boos.

Maria Robinson Mckinney posted: Another idea is basic sponges, wet them and put them in freezer. We used them at daycare.
