Once Upon a Wish

World Wish Day®
-- An annual day of recognition and celebration of the wish granted to Chris Greicius in 1980 that inspired the creation of Make-A-Wish and its mission. Since then, the Make-A-Wish community has grown to over 45,000 volunteers and 30,000 wishes globally annually. A wish is not just a dream for children battling a critical illness. A wish come true can be a turning point in their lives. It can give children the emotional and physical strength to keep going – to fight harder against their illness. Wishes allow children and their families to focus on the possibilities of tomorrow and not on the challenges of today.
