Here's a freebie that could literally save your life tonight!
Travel-service agency AAA has a free offer for those who will be drinking on New Year's Eve. From 6 p.m. on New Year's Eve to 6 a.m. on New Year's Day, AAA's free "Tipsy Tow" service will take anyone who has been drinking home for free and they'll tow your car home along with you, too.
"We want everyone to ring in the New Year by having fun and enjoying the evening with friends and family," AAA spokesperson Michael Geeser said. "But we want everyone to do it safely and responsibly. Simply call for our Tipsy Tow service and help AAA keep the roads safe this holiday."
All it takes is a call to 1-800-AAA-HELP (1-800-222-4357) and the words, "I need a Tipsy Tow." You can get a free ride home -- up to 15 miles in some areas -- for you and your car, and you don't even have to be an AAA member.
NOTE - While the tow truck operators will take the driver, one passenger, and the driver's vehicle to the driver's home, they will not provide transportation to another drinking establishment, event or any other location.
