Today's giveaway is Iolo technologies’ System Mechanic PC tune-up software for up to 3 PCs. Retail value - $49.95
System Mechanic works with 32 & 64 bit, Windows Vista, XP and 2000, designed to fix, speed up and maintain PCs so they run like new forever. This software combines more than 40 robust tools enabling novices and experts alike to clean out their computers and keep them in peak condition.
You don't need to be an expert to use this. It loaded easily and I was in the program in no time. I started out with a Quick System Analysis of my computer. I knew it was going to find lots because the computer has been giving me all sorts of trouble lately.
Here is what it found on my computer:
7 problems and 1 warning
16 repairable security vulnerabilities
43 registry problems
225.25 MB of system clutter
1 unnecessary start-up item
My Internet configuration is not optimized for optimum speed
My memory level is low (47%)
All were very easily fixed with a click of a button.
Checking over my IntelliStatus, I found out that I have 33 programs (18 optional and 4 unknown) in my StartUp Menu and 40 programs (18 optional and 3 unknown) running at this moment. No wonder my computer bogs down!! I'm going to need to look at each program and see what I can get rid of.
Then I sent into the Active Care - Automated Tasks and set my computer to automatically keep itself clean and running efficiently. So easy!
Running a scheduled scan doesn't usually work for me because most of the time I am either working on the computer or it's turned off. So the scan ends up happening while I am working, and slowing me down!
What I really like about this software is that it does the scan during downtime. So if I go off to make my lunch, by the time I come back the scan has started and is almost done - and I can get back to work.

I try to keep my computer squeeky clean, but I bet there are a dozen or so on there. SOMETHING'S slowing it down.

probably somewhere in the range of hundreds.. my husband is so not computer savvy and after about ten mintues he's yelling at me to come fix something he did.
If this thing as a 5 digit couter I'd say my old machine would probably come up at 99999 errors. That''s how I need this piece of software. Thanks!

It's ironic that I came across this giveaway because about 2 weeks ago my husband downloaded the free trial of this and it found several hundred errors! The free trial fixed about 80 of the errors, but you have to purchase the full program in order to fix them all. I had been considering buy the program, but hadn't heard a whole lot about it until stumbling across this giveaway. Thanks for the chance!

How many errors do I think System Mechanic would find on my computer? I would have to say at least 35 because I seem to be always fighting with it is start up and especially for it to shut down. It is seriously the longest shut down I have seen on a computer.

It would find over a 100 errors, I'm sure - my system has not been cleaned up in a while!
I'm guessing this will include TIF's so it depends on the day of installation - easily 180 temporary internet files plus whatever else is detected.

Probably wouldn't find TOO many (although "too many" could be twenty or thirty, easily) since I take some care to periodically "clean house". Which, of course, takes up waaay more time than simply "letting this package handle it" would take.

We have two computers and this could fix at least dozens problems we are experiencing with them. My husband works as a tax accountant so you can imagine how happy he would be to receive this.
We could really use this to the fullest advantage, believe me.
We could so use this to fix numerous problems with our computer including the one where it takes 2 hours to come alive.
