Buddy Goes to the PetSmart Birthday Party
Buddy got a quick bath and we were off to the PetSmart Birthday Party! Buddy was so excited, he knew where we were going as soon as we pulled into the PetSmart parking lot. So many dogs to meet and sniff, he didn't know where to start.
Two funny moments - when this huge hound dog came down the aisle, Buddy took one look at him and turned around to go the other way! Then, when we past a tiny puppy who had been sick on the floor, the owner said, watch out for the big dog. I had to laugh, Buddy is just a 12 lbs Bichon Frise, and the idea of him being a big dog sounds so silly. But this puppy was so tiny next to Buddy!
So we got two cloth shopping bags as we walked in, and inside was a coupon for a free nail clipping - just what Buddy needed! As we went thru the cash to use our coupon, we got another $3 coupon for our next purchase - yeah, more dog food!
Inside each bag was a Pet Smart bandana, Little Friskies Party Mix for cats, a can of Purina cat food, a 2-pack of Busy Bones, Pro-Plan dog food, coupons for Beneful dog food, and a coupon for a free bag of Purina puppy or kitten food when you register online.
The free picture they offered didn't turn out so great, but by then I had been scratched, clawed & drooled on while I held Buddy to get his nails done, covered in dog hair, and over-heated by all the people and dogs in one building. So we decided we were partied out, and took Buddy home for a well deserved rest.

I took Winnie to our local PetSmart. She also enjoyed all the smells and interesting dogs to meet. We got there just in time to participate in the Musical Sitting competition. I was skeptical how Winnie would do under pressure, but out of the 8 dogs in her round, she won!! They gave us a $5 gift card AND 8 coupons worth upto $10 each for Purina brand pet food or Tidy Cat Litter. I'm sure glad we went!
